Text: 12 double spaced, justified.

Page style: 1′ margins, A4 format

First page of the text should include:

– the title of the manuscript,

– the author’s and co-authors names and institutional affiliations, together with e-mail addresses for correspondence,

– abstract of no more than 250 words. This should summarize the essence of the whole paper and not just the conclusions

– up to five keywords.

Tables and Figures: Must be properly labelled. Shall be placed in main text body, where it belongs. Source must be specified, if taken from some secondary source.

Referencing: APA referencing style is recommended.

Review Process and Policy

When you submit your article to the Journal of Science and Security (JSS), you’re confirming that it hasn’t been previously published elsewhere, except possibly in the form of an academic thesis or dissertation, and that it’s not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Additionally, by submitting your article, you assert that there are no conflicts of interest involved.

All research articles undergo blind review by at least two anonymous reviewers chosen by the Editor. JSS employs a rapid review system to minimize the time between submission and publication. The Editor reserves the right to make necessary changes to submitted articles during the editing stage.

While authors retain the copyrights to their published works, JSS is granted first publication rights. Authors also bear complete liability in the event of any plagiarism issues.

Payment Option

As an Open Access journal, the Journal of Science and Security (JSS, KENYA) provides free access to all its content without any charges to readers. The journal operates without receiving any grants or aid. To cover operational expenses such as proofreading and layout design, JSS levies a nominal article processing fee. This fee, which remains consistent regardless of the number of authors or pages, is only required to be paid after an article has been accepted for publication.
